It’s a fact of life: the best laid plans may not get you laid the way you planned. The plan for our first live show after a month’s hiatus was to feature Capt’n Max’s triumphant return to the Speakeasy, having fought and won his Big C Battle. Whether or not it was divine retribution for our hubris in this, Max’s temperature suddenly shot up to 103.6. Yikes! Spring Fever indeed. We hustled him over to Keck Medical Center, his current home away from home. Fevers are common enough after neobladder surgery, so the docs aren’t worried (at least, they tell us they’re not); still they’re keeping him in there for now…
But the show must go on. So on we go with the show, despite my wifely worries with Capt’n Max live on the phone from the hospital, a sexy student nurse gently irrigating his catheter, and a Womb Room filled with brothers and sisters, lovers and sinners sending him healing vibes and love.
And with that, my broadcast bed is transformed into a launch pad for Anthony Winn’s fabulous new series of Stripperella comic books, Angela Sommer’s gorgeous new site and a total orgasmic blast-off aboard our brand new Sybian–the wild mechanical bull of vibrators. Whoever said that diamonds were a girl’s best friend has clearly never rubbed up against one of these babies. Riding it almost made me stop worrying about Max.
