From Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols to Bonnie Rotten’s first gangbang, kinky sex and punk rock have engaged in a turbulent, electrified love affair. Each time they take their glam-rock, tattooed, torn-fishnet fashion look to the next level. To open 2014, the theme is green, an electric shade of jade concocted with a potent cocktail of Splat for bleaching and Manic Panic for color. And what color! The Emerald City of Oz has nothing on these two fluorescent Parrots of the Caribbean. And though it’s the same hue as Troma Films’ Return to Nuke ‘Em High’s toxic green goo, Cate and Sam make it sexy.
As usual, they come bearing gifts as well as baring body parts, most prominently “A Buttload of Months,” their 2014 wall calendar featuring 12 “stunning, sexy and silly” self-portraits in seasonal poses.
