Newbie looking for information.....

My wife and I are in the beginning stages of talking about this fantasy.  She is interested but very reluctant to do anyting.

Basically I'm looking for some people I can talk to and get more aquainted with the scene, as well as some helpful ideas to get my wife more excited by the idea.  Also some good ways for us to get our feet wet and see if we like it before going too far initially.
